Prenup Shoot

Alex and I slept 3am today just to finish pictures and songs selection for the avp and onsite presentation. Burnt it on a CD. Woke up at 6am. Had a 7am appointment with the makeup artist at Bobby’s shop. Had my hair & makeup done. Ganda was good. At first I thought the makeup was too much but later realized it was just enough for all the ‘lights’ directed our faces all through out the photo shoot. Alex was groomed a little to match how I looked. On the way to meet the BA staff, I realized I have to put on powder on my neckline (the makeup artist missed it, maybe since I was wearing a shirt). Stopped by Shoppesville at Ateneo, but it was really a grocery store—no makeup. Then we tried the nearby Mercury Drugstore. Yeah. A drugstore but imagine.. it sells MAKEUP! So I purchased powder, a shade darker than my skin tone, to blend with what was on me. Drove to BK Rotonda to meet the staff. Took a quick breakfast. The staff arrived an hour later. Nice. Went to the studio. Arrived there 11am. The house is a 4-story airconditioned building—very rich and elegant-looking architecture changing in every corner. We were brought to a room where brides are being done by very gay makeup artists. Since I’m already ready with my hair and makeup, Evelyn, the marketing officer, introduced us to Cecil, the photographer, and Esmeralda or Esmie, the late staff turned out to be my personal assistant for the day. The first few hours was ok. We acted up so much! Time flies. After changing to our 3rd set of clothes, we began to feel the rewards of not sleeping early, heat of the lights and tinge in our stomachs. After a few more minutes, I fainted. hahahaha Yes I did. The also tired Alex had to carry me. I was unconscious for a minute or two. When I woke up and realized I was lying on a couch situationed in an empty room where photographers & staff & grooms & brides come & go, I pretended to be posing for a shot. sheeeeesh We took some more shots first before we decided to take a break. We had to stop because I noticed that it takes 10-second delay for me to change from serious-mode to happy-mode after Cecil instructs us to ‘smile!’ for n times already. That was around 3pm. 3pm!?! We resumed after our super late lunch. Changed to our ‘Cardinals’ shirt and took a few shots at the roofdeck before we took off to Intramuros. We were warned earlier by other photographers that a permit is required to be able to conduct photo ops inside the walls of Intramuros and that the permit is issued 2 weeks after the request date. Grrr! We didn’t know that! Well, anyhow.. The next events are for me to know and for you to find out. But I can tell it was overall fun! Reminiscing… weee! You have to see the prenup photo book.
